What you will do
He/she will be responsible and accountable for providing technical and business direction to the organization with respect to product families. You will represent the Product Management group within the Business, and effectively represent the Business to outside groups.
The Product Management team is the primary interface between internal groups such as Engineering and Manufacturing, and external groups such as Sales and customers. Product Managers are the recognized experts for all aspects of their products and enjoy a high-level of visibility to Ducted Systems senior leadership and customers.How you will do it
Management of assigned Residential products throughout the product lifecycle.
Conduct market and competitive analysis, and reporting for strategic guidance.
Develop business cases for the development of new products, including recommending product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the lowest cost products, and attain the highest possible margins and long-term market share.
Official communicator to industry, regulatory, sales, and customer groups.
Management of product technical literature and data, with understanding of the sources and applications for the information, and associated industry and regulatory standards.
Preparation of templates, reports or other documentation for certifying or regulatory bodies.
Frequent active participation with customer tours, dinners and travel to customer meetings.
Present product offering and strategy to internal and external groups.
Represent the Company, and present at customer or industry conventions and trade shows.
What we look forRequired
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in HVAC industry in Product Management, or related field (Engineering, Program Management, Technical Support, Technical Marketing/Sales).
Strong communicator with good judgement and decision-making skills to lead multi-functional new product programs to market.
Customer-focused and positive approach to creative solutions.
Financial acumen to support business case development.
Proficiency in managing multi-task projects.
Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel up to 25% depending on need to support industry and customer events.
Engineering-focused Degree or Master’s Degree.
